As with all bromeliads (1500 variety about) the Guzmania is a plant epiphyte and in nature uses the roots to cling to the trunks of the trees in the higher areas of the forest.
WATERING
It is preferable to use rain water for watering.
Give a little water into the central rosette of the plant as the temperature in our homes is not as high as in the natural environment, and the evaporation is low.
Change the water inside the washer every 20 days to remove any salts, plant debris, or anything that could damage the plant.

Your plant blooms only once and then generate new plantlets!
You can enjoy its inflorescence for a very long time.
When you see that your plant is starting to throw a new little plant may stimulate you to bloom by putting it in a plastic bag with a ripe apple as such fruit produces a gas that stimulates the flowering of your Bromelia.
From mid-may onwards, you can put your vessel with the Guzmania on the outside, both on the terrace and in the garden.
