Mistletoe
The custom of the anglo-saxon to hang a branch of mistletoe at the door, derives from the belief that mistletoe was a plant magic.
The Gauls and the Celts believed that fall from the sky, slipped out of the hands of the gods, and were entangled among the highest branches
of the trees, remaining pure and uncontaminated.
Being pure, the mistletoe was gathered with sickles of gold, from the ancient priests, the druids.
It was then placed between the fabrics, so that his magical power remain intact.
Also the berry of the mistletoe is reminiscent of the light: osserviamola well and see how they seem to shine for the activities of its own, and as the candles
remember the spiritual light of the Christ and the Sun will return to shine.
